He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Dickinson College and his doctorate in Social/Organizational Psychology from Temple University.  Seeking to promote quality teaching in the psychology major, Dr. S has authored instructor’s manuals, test banks, PowerPoint slide decks and website companion material for various textbooks. His teaching-related publications and conference presentations focus on sharing innovative strategies he incorporates into his courses to promote student learning. Dr. S is a co-author of the textbook, Discovering the Scientist Within: Research Methods in Psychology, and a co-founder of teachpsychscience.org, an Internet repository of class activities and other instructor resources to support research methods and statistics. His current research work focuses on social factors that influence people's generosity, particular with respect to restaurant tipping behavior.

Kristi Miceli - President

I am a senior Psychology major. I am an aspiring school counselor who would love to work with children in the future. My favorite thing about being a Psi Chi member is spending time with other people who love psychology and working on fun projects together. In my free time, I love to hang out at the beach and go to concerts.

Megan Conchar - Co-Vice President (Membership)

Megan Conchar is a third year Psychology major and Childhood Studies minor. After graduating from Monmouth University, she plans to attend graduate school and go on to pursue a career in School Psychology. Megan’s favorite thing about psychology is the way it can be applied to various domains of life and its potential to improve those domains. Megan’s favorite thing about Psi Chi is building friendships with goal-oriented people that share the love of psychology. In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time at the beach or walking dogs at the Monmouth County SPCA.

Leigh Ricciardi - Co-Vice President (Alumni Relations)

Hi guys! My name's Leigh Ricciardi and I work in alumni relations for Monmouth's chapter of Psi Chi. I'm a psychology major and health studies minor, but recently I've decided to follow a new path and pursue a career in Human Resources post college. Other than studying and working on my senior thesis, some of my hobbies include running, eating, and all things beauty and fashion! I also enjoy staying involved on campus and am a peer tutor and sister of Alpha Omicron Pi.

Maryam Srouji - Secretary

Hey! I'm a senior psychology major, which means you've probably seen me living in the psychology department because it's true. I'm also the secretary of Psi Chi and the team lead for the Gender Development research lab. After graduation, I plan to take a gap year and work doing some sort of research before continuing to get my PhD in Social Psychology. I just really hope to have my own lab one day. I just love discovering what makes us all different but what connects us about our behaviors and thoughts. My favorite thing about Psi Chi is the mentoring that goes on. It has so many opportunities to be a member, but the advice, connections, and experience that goes on can't be found anywhere else.

Liz Roderick - Treasurer

Liz Roderick is a senior psychology major, and has been a member of Psi Chi for nearly two years. She is currently the treasurer. After graduation Liz is hoping to either pursue her PhD in psychology and become a professor, or attend seminary to become a missionary. In her free time, Liz enjoys painting, playing with dogs, making music, and reading. She loves being a psychology major because she is fascinated by figuring out why people do the things that they do. She is also grateful for the support of the professor, and the genuine interest they take in their students. She is excited to be on the Psi Chi Leadership Team so that she can assist in bringing science to the students, and providing them with fun ways to get involved with the goings on of the Psychology Department.

Rachel Graney - Historian

My name is Rachel Graney, I am a junior here at Monmouth University, and I am a Psych major. A few of my favorite things about pursuing psychology are learning about how certain people, situations, and our cognition affect our everyday lives and ultimately shape who we are. Studying psychology has allowed me to not only better understand others, but also to better understand myself. It has also provided me insight on how to handle particular situations and people with greater ease. I also love being a member of Psi Chi because it introduced me to other students and faculty who share the same passion as I do. Through being a member of Psi Chi, I am able to learn new skills, challenge myself, and become part of something bigger than myself. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. My goal after graduating is to attend graduate school and focus on earning a degree in counseling.

Mary Kate O'Rourke - Ambassador/Social Media Voice

Hello! My name is Mary Kate O'Rourke, and I am a senior Psychology Major. I am an Ambassador and Social Media Coordinator for Psi Chi! My career aspirations are to become a positive psychologist, and to also open my horizons to Animal Assisted Pet Therapy. Post-undergrad, I am still weighing my options for graduate school. Psychology is a wonderful field to be in, and my piece of advice is work as hard as you can now so your life can be filled with happiness doing what you love later in life. Psi Chi is a great place to meet other people, just like you.

Rich Felicetti - Ambassador/Social Media Voice

I major in Psychology and minor in History. I am interested in clinical psychology. I enjoy taking part in Psi Chi because it stresses the importance of togetherness in the psych community. I also enjoy writing for Monmouth University's Outlook newspaper.  In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, surfing the Internet, and taking strolls.
